First Steps After Login

Hello, welcome to BlackTieLearning Academy! This article will guide you through the first steps after logging in. Let’s get started!

📡 Access the Site
Visit: https://academy.blacktielearning.com
🔐 Logging In
In the upper-right corner of the homepage, click “Log in”, then enter your username and password. Click the ‘Enter Academy’ button.
🧭 Navigating the Main Page
After login, you'll land on the Moodle dashboard. Key areas include:
  • 📂 Navigation: On the upper-left, this block lets you access your homepage, courses, profile, and more.
  • 🎓 My Courses: A list of all your enrolled courses. Click a course name to open it.
  • 🗓️ Calendar: On the right-hand side — view assignment deadlines and upcoming events.
  • ✉️ Messages: Access your internal inbox to send and receive messages.
🧑‍💼 Updating Your Profile
Click your name in the top-right corner → select ‘Profile’. Here you can:
  • 📸 Upload a profile photo
  • 📧 Edit your email address
  • 🔔 Adjust your notification preferences
  • 📝 Add a biography and update contact info
